The ephemeral nature of memory, in particular a focus on the recollection of Kyiv after a period of absence. Like a river flowing and changing its course, the memory of a place transforms over time, becoming a fluid entity where different moments and impressions merge and mix. Leaving Kyiv began a process of mental refiguration, where the sharp edges of specific experiences softened and the city began to exist in my mind as a tapestry of intertwined feelings, fragmented images and lingering sensations. The passage of time acts as a filter, sifting through the many impressions and leaving behind a distilled, almost dreamlike impression of the city.
